Hi friends! I'm a first-year at Cal majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology with a CS minor and will be one of the vice chairs for JCC (N. Korea) this year. I'm originally from Philadelphia, PA, and I've participated in Model UN throughout high school. I'm very excited to help chair at BMUN, one of the best and the oldest conference in the world.  Outside of BMUN, I enjoy binge-watching TV shows (Bodyguard, Silicon Valley, Man in The High Castle, and many others), gaming, drinking boba, and anxiously waiting for season 8 of Game of Thrones.  I'm super excited to see everyone this BMUN LXVII and what incredible stuff west coast delegates are capable of in March! Please feel free to come and talk to me or email me at ktuok@bmun.org about Berkeley, the Korean Peninsula, if you're also from the Philly area, or anything else! Introduction - Annie Ren

Hi everyone! My name is Annie Ren, and I will be one of your vice chairs for JCC in the upcoming BMUN LXVII. I spent most of my life in Dalian, a port city in the northeastern region of China. It is aligned and directly between Beijing and Pyongyang, so the politics of the Korean Peninsula is a topic close to home. Throughout high school, I organized and participated in conferences across Asia (let me know if you have too!). So I am excited to see what delegates bring to the MUN programs on the West Coast. I am currently a freshman studying Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley. My hobbies include playing volleyball and soccer, sampling boba flavors, being a mother to my cat, and exploring beautiful places with my camera. Feel free to ask me anything about BMUN, the Chinese political perspective, UC Berkeley, my cat... I look forward to sharing my first BMUN experience with all of you in March! Meet my son! The resemblance is uncanny.

I am currently a freshman at UC Berkeley studying Economics and Political Science and hope to enter government policy making or regulation in the future This will be my 5th year doing Model UN, and the 4th time serving on a conference secretariat. Outside of Model UN, I enjoy watching YouTube, losing money on the stock market and playing video games. My most recent bad investment was in the AMD stock, and currently, I am honing my Super Smash Bros Ultimate skills along with slowly progressing through Dark Souls. As someone who has participated in BMUN for 3 years in high school, I am excited to find out what it feels like to be on the other side of the dais. If you have any questions about anything I just talked about, the conference or even just Berkeley, feel free to email me at varul@bmun.org, and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. ----- On a side
